Gabe and Jackie scored with the weather on their wedding day in Lincoln -- they picked one of the few that wasn't more than 100 degrees. That meant we had a great time riding around in the (A/C-less) trolley and we got to spend some time outside taking pictures. Congratulations to this very happy couple.

Doug and Jackie got married in Omaha a couple of weeks ago -- their reception was at Strategic Command in Bellevue. It was the first time I've had to get past a guy with a machine gun to shoot a reception.

Jackie was wearing one of my favorite dresses so far this year. It really brought out all of her natural beauty.

There were some great stories. We took a nice walk. And there were tickle fights. It had to be the Edison family.

I took Eddie and Amanda's wedding pictures last year and they looked me up for pictures of Eddie's 'rents, who are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this summer. They are a fun couple and it was great to catch up with everyone.

Facebook is constantly changing their News Feeds, especially when it comes to businesses. In short, businesses have to pay for ads to make sure that their fans/friends are seeing their status updates...and if a business doesn't ante up, only about 1 in 10 people will see new posts. The only way to be sure you're seeing 40 Nights updates on Facebook is to do this:

1. Go go to the 40 Nights Photography Facebook page.
2. Click/hover over the 'Liked' button at the top right of the 40 Nights page.
3. Make sure the 'SHOW IN NEWS FEED' option is selected.

David & Ashley | Grand Island, Nebraska Wedding Pictures by 40 Nights Photography

Ashley and David were married in Grand Island a couple of weeks ago. Never mind the blast furnace-like weather -- we had a great time taking pictures inside and outside the beautiful Catholic church.

Aurora's 2 Year | Lincoln, Nebraska Portraits by 40 Nights Photography

I haven't seen Aurora since last fall, but Ryan and Angie brought her downtown for a portrait session last night. She is as cute as ever, and she also has some of the most striking eyes I've ever seen. The dark edges of her pupils are pretty amazing. She's also just downright cute.

Jon and Katie are both amazingly nice people -- and they're both physicists, too. We went out recently for their engagement shoot and not only did we get a huge variety of fun images, but they also taught me a thing or two about how light works. What a fun night!
