Jeremy & Sara | Wedding Pictures in Lincoln, Nebraska

Jeremy and Sara picked a late April Saturday hoping for a nice, sunny day. What they got instead was gray, cold and very, very windy. They didn't let that dampen their spirits, though. Instead, everyone bundled up, headed for the Rose Garden in Lincoln and then to the Haymarket for the reception. It was a wild day...and totally worth facing down Mother Nature.

Kara and Andy are getting married in two weeks in Lincoln. I have been friends with Kara for a very long time so it will be an exciting and fun day for all of us...provided we don't have another crazy April blizzard, like today!

Wildfire near Lincoln Nebraska -- Controlled Burn Gone Bad

We were camping south of Lincoln on Saturday when Rebecca saw a huge orange glow on the horizon. Turns out a controlled burn had gotten out of hand -- no surprise because the winds were still gusting somewhat when they started the operation. There were several fire trucks on the scene when we arrived. Luckily I had my telephoto lens so I could stand back and get a few shots.

Scott & Kayla | Engagement Photography in Omaha

Scott and Kayla are getting married in Des Moines this summer, but they met me in Omaha for their engagement session. It was a little windy (as evidenced by my equipment blowing around in the breeze over and over again) but that didn't stop us from having a blast. Just as in Lincoln, Omaha has a ton of hidden spots that are great for pictures -- you just have to look harder to find them. I can't wait to catch up with these two later this year!

Spring is on the Lamb! Er, Lam.

Harper and Max were out at grandma and grandpa's farm last week. Right now there there are several dozen new lambs jumping around and playing in the April sun. Lots of fun to see them.
